So I bought this opal to go into a ring based off the Pokemon Eevee. I used hot cocoa pigment and the finished ring had the opal looking bright green. I then tried using it with a very light brown made by mixing champagne pigment with a lot of glow powder. That ring came out a light cyan and bright green. They look good, but they didn't have the peaches & cream color I was looking for.
I notice the pearl white opal turned prismatic when put with the obsidian black pigment, so I guess light colored opal have their iridescent colors over power their native color when mixed with a darker pigment or something like that.
TL;DR This opal changes color when mixed with a pigment, so either use just white colored glow powder or expect it to look bright green or blue when the ring is done.
The product description really need to mention how it acts with different pigment.
