Sapphire is a precious gemstone and one of the most durable naturally-occurring stones in the world.  It is commonly known as the "wisdom stone" and is said to contain peaceful qualities.  Sapphire offers a deep blue color to complement any project. It ranks very high on the Mohs hardness scale, having a hardness of 9!  Sapphire is a beautiful exotic material to add to your inlay materials.
