From a new Ring Maker

I found the ring to dark as I made it, maybe a note with the ring kit as to how to lighten it up..
If there is a video on this ring add a note to where to find it (Address)

Hi James,
Thanks for buying one of our ring kits. Here is the URL to the Sunken Artifact ring. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUb__Z0mJ-g
We have made online tutorial videos for most of our ring kits. They are on our YouTube channel.
If you make a ring you don't like, you can soak it in Debonder for 24 hours and collect the fragments at the bottom of the cup to reuse. Then you can try again!
You can also do tests of the glow powder and mica color pigment mixture with a drop of CA glue on a paper plate before putting the mixture in the ring.
Keep experimenting, and you will become an expert!
Best,
Carolyn

Great design, taught me a lot

I love this design and learned a ton about ring making while doing it. The big lessons learned include putting the pigment at the bottom of the inlay and the copper over it so that there is a nice 3D effect. Be advised that putting the pigment so that it is at the top level gives a very different effect. Cutting up and scattering the copper can give a really cool effect of tiny text. It was funny watching a friend who reads Arabic try to read my rings. He was amazed I could write that tiny! ;-)

A great first experience.

I was surprised at how straight forward and easy it was to make my first ring kits. My wife absolutely loved the rings when I surprised her with them. Will definitely be ordering more ring blanks and supplies to create my own designs.

We love to hear you were both so pleased with your rings! It certainly is addicting, and you'll become even more popular among your relatives and friends when they see your creations!
