Wooden Dowel Rod - Mandrel Alternative

These hardwood dowel rods are an inexpensive alternative to a mandrel for getting started in ring making! Our 6" rods are made of Level A beech wood and provide a sturdy place to spin your ring by hand or in a power tool. Plan to wrap your dowels in electric tape (not included) to get the best fit.

Pick the dowel that best suits your ring size:

Small- Ring sizes 5.5 - 6 (16mm)

Medium- Ring sizes 6.5 - 8.5 (17mm)

Large- Ring sizes 8.5 - 11 (19mm)

Extra Large- Ring sizes 11.5-15 (21mm)
